GIVE A LITTLE, CHANGE A LOT

At Artemis we study factors that contribute to transmission of viruses from animals to humans and understand the mechanisms by which infection leads to disease.

These studies are crucial to develop effective intervention and treatment strategies.

We have designed some charity projects that need immediate attention.

“Although it is extremely important to develop innovative tools and technologies to study the pathogenesis and develop new intervention strategies, like the use of vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics to combat viral diseases, currently there is too little funding available to realize this. The perceived lack of a market and return on investment appear to be the main reasons why companies are not investing in developing them”.
