Donations will be used to fund collaborative research that will benefit patients primarily in resource-poor countries and secondarily the global population.
What data we collect about you
We obtain personal information from you when you enquire about our activities, register with us, send or receive an e-postcard, make a donation to us, ask a question about infectious diseases or otherwise provide us with personal information. We may also receive information about you from third parties, for example from our service providers or from a friend who wants to tell you about our websites or the fundraising activities we carry out.
The personal information we collect might include, but may not be limited to name, date of birth, email address, postal address, telephone number and credit/debit card details.
We also gather general information about the use of our websites, such as which pages users visit most often and which services, events or facilities are of most interest. We may also track which pages users visit when they click on links for Artemis One Health Research Foundation emails. As part of this, we may analyze the personal information we collect to create a profile of your interests and preferences so that we can contact you in the most appropriate way and with the most relevant information. If you enter your contact details in one of our online registration forms, we may use this information to contact you even if you don’t “send” or “submit” the form, such contact information shall only be used to evaluate whether we can help you with any problems you might be experiencing with the form or with our websites.

When we share your data

Other visitors to our sites
If you submit feedback, comments, photos, videos, or other information to interactive portions of our sites, such submission may be made publicly available to anyone who visits those areas of our site. Other visitors may access, re-post, or use such submission. Even if you remove or delete your submission, copies may remain in cached or archived areas of our sites or retain by other visitors. We may share your personal data with law enforcement, other government agencies or authorities, or third parties as required by applicable law, regulations, court and/or administrative order, subpoena, legal process served on us or by any other legal means. The data that we collect is stored on the Artemis’ drive and deleted within a year from the collection. The server provider is located in the Netherlands and complies with the regulations stated in this notice.
How we store and protect your data
HOW DO WE PROTECT PERSONAL INFORMATION?
All of our online forms are protected by encryption. We also use a secure server when you make a donation or payment via our websites. We take reasonable measures to ensure that the personal information disclosed to us is kept secure, accurate and up to date and kept only for so long as is necessary for the purposes for which it is used.
We will store your personal data until it is no longer needed to fulfil the purpose(s) for which it was collected or as otherwise required or permitted by law or at least for one year. After such time, we will either delete or anonymize your personal data or, if this is not possible, we will securely store your personal data and isolate it from any further use until deletion is possible. We may dispose of any data in our discretion without notice, subject to applicable law. As the transmission of data via the internet is not completely secure, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted to (or via) our sites and you acknowledge that any such transmission is at your own risk.
